Mississippi 4-H Horse Championship and Horse Educational Contests

The Mississippi 4-H Horse Championship will educate 4-H youth, parents, volunteers, and others as to the variety of horse show classes offered, as well as educational contest opportunities for the youth to show their achievement with their horse project and to provide a platform on which youth are allowed to display their project knowledge in equine educational contests.

Target Audience(s):

4-H youth equine exhibitors and their families

Objectives:

Participants will learn:

• How to enter horses for the 4-H District and State-Only classes and how/when to use the Grade Horse Form,
• About general rules and regulations that all exhibitors of horses should abide by in addition to division specific rules that govern the Mississippi 4-H Horse Championship, and
• About the various horse educational contests that are offered to youth to demonstrate their knowledge acquired during the horse project.
