Symposium presents landscape design ideas
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Four prominent landscape designers and Mississippi State University alumni are returning to campus to share ideas with amateur and professional gardeners.
The 60th Edward C. Martin Jr. Landscape Symposium will be held Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at the MSU Bost Extension Center Auditorium.
Speakers for this year’s symposium, themed “Landscape Rehab 101,” are Christian Preus, Kirk Cameron, Phillipe Chadwick and Carol Reese.
Preus, principal of Christian Preus Landscape Architecture in Ocean Springs and Fairhope, Alabama, will speak on “The Outdoor Room.”
Cameron, owner of Madison Planting and Design Group in Madison, will present “Landscape Rehab.”
Chadwick, principal of Phillipe Chadwick Designs in Nashville, Tennessee, will discuss “Designing with Excitement.”
Reese, ornamental horticulture specialist for University of Tennessee Extension, will present “The Appeal of the Aberrant.”
Extension professor of landscape architecture Bob Brzuszek is the symposium program chair.
