Beef expo offered in Verona, Batesville
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Mississippi beef producers are invited to attend the upcoming North Mississippi Beef Expo.
The event will be offered in two locations. On Oct. 24, the expo will be held at the North Mississippi Research and Extension Center, located at 5421 Highway 145 South in Verona. On Oct. 25, the event will repeat at the Batesville Civic Center, located at 290 Civic Center Drive in Batesville.
Topics include animal welfare and handling, nutrition and hay quality, rye grass in north Mississippi, data from the Prairie Research Unit and what Chronic Wasting Disease means to beef producers.
On-site check-in begins at 8 a.m., and the program begins at 9 a.m. each day. The event is free, but preregistration is required for a correct meal count.
