If food has thawed, must I throw it out?
You may safely refreeze most foods if they still contain ice crystals or if they have been kept refrigerator cold and have been thawed no more than 24 to 48 hours. Foods warmed to above refrigerator temperatures (above 40º F) may not be safe to eat.
