Adult Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches individuals how to understand, identify, and respond to signs of mental illness and crises.
Participants will be required to pay a $23.95 fee for the training. Optional materials can be purchased for an additional charge.
Target Audience(s):
Mississippians 18 years and older
Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
- Address common mental health concerns encountered by adults,
- Reduce stigma,
- Teach strategies for family members, friends, and peers to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health or substance use challenges and other support, and
- Offer self-help strategies for staying mentally well.
Total Number of Modules or Sessions: 1-2
Total Number of Hours for Program Delivery: 7.5 hours
