Summary:

This effort will help youth develop an appreciation of the scientific method through hands-on experiments and a day camp.

Target Audience(s):

Youth with interest in plants, soil, insects, or scientific research

Objectives:

Participants will increase their:

  • Understanding of basic agronomy concepts,
  • Understanding of the scientific method,
  • Critical thinking skills through an at-home experiment project,
  • Knowledge of career opportunities within agricultural sciences, and
  • Knowledge of technology use and changes in agriculture.
