Building Brainy Babies

This program will help participants gain knowledge on the impact that stress has on brain development in young children and learn how to facilitate optimal brain development.

Target Audiences:

Early care and education teachers and directors, family-home providers, and parents

Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Demonstrate an increase in knowledge on the topic of brain development in your children through a pre-and post-assessment,
  • Be able to explain the different stressors that young children may experience (positive, tolerable, and toxic) and their impact on brain development; and
  • Demonstrate or explain ways to facilitate optimal brain development for young children.
