Produce Safety Rule Training to Assist Farmers to Comply and Prepare for Inspections

This program informs farmers (specialist crops or produce) on new regulations for Food Safety.

Target Audience(s):

Specialty crop/produce farmers, farmers’ market vendors or managers, packing houses, distributors, and handlers

Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Learn the requirements of the Produce Safety Rule,
  • Learn about the records required under the Produce Safety Rule, and
  • Prepare for a food safety inspection.

Total Number of Modules or Sessions: 1 - 8

Total Number of Hours for Program Delivery: 8 hours minimum (continuous or in several sessions)
