Alcorn County 4-H Love & Encouragement 5K Run/Walk

The 2023 Alcorn County 4-H Love & Encouragement 5K Run/Walk is an annual event that sponsors a 4-H Scholarship established in memory of Annalisa Laudadio. Annalisa, an active member of Alcorn County 4-H for ten years, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15 in April 2016. She served in many leadership roles at the club and county level and competed in various 4-H contests as high as the national level.  Annalisa’s passion was loving people and she was an encouragement to all.

This year's event will be held Saturday, October 21, at Farmington Heritage Park, in Corinth, MS. Race day registration will be open from 7:15 to 8:00 a.m. The opening ceremony will begin at 8:15 a.m. with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. 

Virtual entries will also be offered. Virtual participants can run or walk the 3.1 mile course of their choice, any time between September 30 - October 19. Track your distance with a fitness device/app and then email it to ext-alcorn@lists.msstate.edu to be included on the 4-H website. Virtual participants' times will not be considered for placing medals. Results will be posted on the Annalisa Laudadio Love & Encouragement 5K Run/Walk Facebook group page. Race times should be submitted by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, October 19.

Race Day Registration:  7:15 – 8:00 a.m.         

Opening Ceremony:  8:15 a.m.    

Race Time:  8:30 a.m.

Age Divisions:  0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Up

Awards:  Overall, Masters (40+), and Age Group – three deep, male/female in each category.

Entry Fees:   

Preregistration entry fee - $25.00 

After Preregistration - $30.00

Youth (ages 0-19) Preregistration entry fee - $20.00

After Preregistration - $25.00

Virtual Entry Option:

Preregistration virtual entry fee - $20.00

After preregistration - $25.00

Race packets for virtual entries can be mailed for a $5.00 fee. Please mark the box on the form below.
